The 2020 Regis Aged Care Seniors Eclectic has been run and won. Congratulations to this year’s Overall Winner, Di Stark. A great result.
Details of all prize winners are available here. Please see reception to pick up your prizes.
This is the third year that Regis Aged Care has sponsored this event, for which we are extremely grateful. Importantly, Regis Aged Care has committed to sponsoring the event for 5 years, with this being the first year.
The Manager of the Kuluin Facility, Clyde Black, joined the competition on Monday as a social player and is very keen to develop the event into the future. Special thanks to Garry Clotz and Colin Pledge who played with the sponsor group. Clyde mentioned that he had one of his best games in years and greatly appreciated Gary and Colin’s golfing tips.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we were unable to hold a presentation ceremony after the final day’s play. The event was again very well supported with a full field of 136 players. Again due to Covid-19, we had no interstate visitors this year, with our single visitor being a Sunshine Coast resident. Due, yet again to Covid-19 restrictions, we were unable to have events such as Nearest to Pin, Straight Drive and Long Drive. As an alternative we ran a Super-Six competition on both days, and details of winners are also on the link above.
Our thanks to Ben Tilley and his staff for delivering a great course for the two days, as well as managing potential parking problems. Our thanks also to Greg and his staff for lunch and to Derek and his bar staff, with a special mention to Kellie, who looked after the Halfway House. Special thanks also to Adam, for his efforts in again providing an excellent range of prizes for the event.
On behalf of the Club and the organising committee, I would like to congratulate all of our winners, and thank all players for supporting this event. Looking forward to seeing you all back in 2021.
Steve Eggins, Tournament Director.
