Priscillas and farmers filled Headland Golf Club last Saturday night all in the name of drought relief and what a sight it was! 220 people crowded into the club all dressed in their best outback or ‘Priscilla’ outfit, for the ‘Priscilla Queen of the Desert’ Bush Bingo Night – a fundraiser to support our struggling farmers.
We are thrilled to announce the event raised a staggering $35,000 that will see the CWA receive $25,000 and Buy-A-Bale $10,000. This was a great effort and would not have been possible without the kindness and generous support of the local community.
Our restaurant, Vista@Headland, played a big part in the success of this event. Not only did they organise for all the produce for the night to be donated, but all of Vista’s kitchen and wait staff volunteered their time and worked the entire night for free as an incredibly generous show of support to the cause.
We would also like to give a special shout out to the businesses who charitably donated produce for the night: Fresh meats, Fruity World, Bidfood, San Antone, North Coast Small Goods, Woombye Bakery, Fresh Baked Wholesalers, Ironbark Hydroponics, SJW Mushrooms & Pitchers Hospitality.
